EVERY 15 HOURS an Australian child is born with cerebral palsy.
Cerebral Palsy (CP) is a lifelong condition, making it one of the most expensive conditions to support. The emotional, social and financial costs of CP can be immense. Therapy sessions and essential equipment are often too expensive for many family budgets.
Your donation will help reduce these costs through the provision of essential services and equipment for children and adults with cerebral palsy.
Here are just a few examples of the type of equipment your donation can help purchase.

Portable ramps require no assembly at all. They are supplied in a folded position and are ready to use in a matter of seconds by laying the ramp out on the ground where it will be used. The use of ramps allows wheelchair users easier access in and around the home and school.
AFO’s are orthoses or braces, encompassing the ankle joint and all or part of the foot. AFO’s are externally applied, and are intended to control position and motion of the ankle, compensate for weaknesses, or correct deformities. They control the ankle directly and can also be designed to control the knee joint.

The Activity chair is designed for children who need extra support in the home and classroom. The chair is designed to encourage good posture and alignment while enabling the child to participate in social activities with family and friends.
Standers are designed to provide the child with the benefits of weight bearing in an upright position. Adjustable supports promote correct alignment of the trunk and lower extremities.
Hoists are designed to take the partial or full weight of a person, which allows easier lifting and transferring from one surface to another. A hoist greatly reduces the risk of injury by preventing a fall, as well as protecting carers from back strain.
