Triple P iconStepping Stones Triple P:
for parents of children with cerebral palsy

'As parents of children with cerebral palsy, you have a wealth of experience. We’re very eager to hear from you!
Come… be a part of a research project that benefits you and your family!'

What is this study about?

The Triple P-Positive Parenting Program is a system of parenting and family support. Stepping Stones Triple P is a new version of Triple P that is specifically designed for parents of children with disabilities to help them develop effective management strategies for dealing with childhood behaviour problems and developmental issues. The aim of this study is to pilot Stepping Stones Triple P for parents of children with cerebral palsy.

Can you help us?

We are interested in your experience as a parent of a child with cerebral palsy. If you have a child with cerebral palsy aged between 2 and 12 years old, we’d love to have you participate in our study.

What does participating involve?

By participating in this study, you will be asked to complete a set of questionnaires via a webpage. The questionnaires will cover such topics as your reactions to Stepping Stones Triple P, parenting styles, parenting confidence, daily parenting tasks, stress, and coping strategies. The survey will take approximately 30 minutes.   In addition, if you can, you will also be requested to forward the web-address to a friend who has a child who does not have cerebral palsy. Your friend will be asked to complete a daily parenting task checklist (taking approximately 5 minutes). If you cannot forward the web-address onto a friend you are still very welcome to participate yourself.

Benefits

This is a good opportunity for you to reflect upon your current experiences. By participating in the study, you are involving yourself in a good cause that is aimed at fine-tuning the Stepping Stones parenting program, which will benefit parents of children with cerebral palsy like yourself. It is planned that this study will lead towards a trial of Stepping Stones Triple P for parents of children with cerebral palsy.

Do access the survey link above as soon as you can!

Your input is important to us and it will benefit parents of children with CP.
