Groups that link parents to parents in the St George area.
Families of children with a disability living in or around the St George area of Sydney now have the opportunity to connect with other parents/carers for mutual support, and to gain information about local services.
The project also assists participants to gain skills and provides guest speakers as required.
Current groups are running for parents of children with Autism on Wednesdays and Fridays (Peakhurst and Kingsgrove). Other groups will be provided by expressed interest; just phone the contact number below to nominate a day and time that will be suitable.
Who can attend? Parents / carers who:
- have a child who is 0 to 12 years old with a disability?
- live in or around the St George area?
- like the idea of meeting with other parents / carers?
- like the opportunity to exchange information and support?
- like to learn about disability services in your area?
